I was thinking today of the differences between the left and the right. Not the hand, silly! Or the feet, but the differences in how we look at things and perceive things in life.
I (obviously) go to the right, and I wonder at the people that go to the left. How can they think the things that they think? How can they believe in global warming, abortion, etc. They think they're right to think the things they do, and the right thinks they're right. And.. they always think the opposite of each other.
Except, that they both have their scaremongers. Yes, the right have their share too. The world is losing all morality, the family is going downhill. We are in the worst moral period in HISTORY, people! God is going to get us all for all that we allow to happen in this world, we have to start working harder to get it right.
Who are you kidding? From what I know in reading the Bible, the world is no worse off since man was created. News Flash people, Adam and Eve ate the fruit in the garden, Cain killed Abel, Tamar was raped by her brother, the men in Sodom wanted to have their way with the angel that came to Lot, Lot's daughters got their dad drunk and got pregnant by him, Moses killed someone and then ran away, King David slept with Bathsheeba, killed her husband, had a kid out of wedlock and still was King.
Solomon, the wisest guy around had more wives, then he could possibly know what to do with, and he was led astray by their worshipping of idols. Elijah stood up to Jezebel, then ran away in total fear for his life. Samson died when he got revenge. The new testament isn't any better. Paul was forever trying to help people live a better life in the moral depravity that was Rome. Hello, doesn't anyone read history?
We want to criticize the Christians for the crusades, God wouldn't like that, but maybe He would. If the Christians didn't fight the muslims then, maybe we would all be under Sharia law now? Maybe events of today, make it possible to see the reasoning then? I know that God has said that He sends nations to judge nations. Men, women and children are killed in the Bible, under God's command.
Its amazing that the same right thinking people can't stand the left telling people anything, and constantly complain about their criticizing, but they criticize too. They want freedom of speech and don't think that they get it, but fire Rosie, people shouldn't hear what she has to say. Fire Imus, fire this person and that person, they are going to lead the people wrong. I'm sorry, but are people supposed to only listen to one side of the coin? Are you the only side with all the answers, right answers to the questions? Aren't you now trying to do what you criticize the left in doing? Lets hear both sides, and people will believe what they want. Sorry, that's just the way it is. Free Will, kind of sucks when you want people to believe only what you think.
Maybe people are dumb, some are smart, but I can guarantee you that NO ONE has all the answers. Well, God does, but are we listening? And, are the only ones that can hear God,the ones telling others how to live their lives right? The church has plenty of people who somehow think that they are perfect now that they are Christians. I'm sorry, but I thought that Christians are the people who finally realized that they need a dr, and seek the only dr who knows anything, Christ! Christ then is the one who heals us. He didn't take away sin from our lives, but you wouldn't know that sometimes. I know the world is under the misguided notion that ALL Christians are now perfect and have to act perfectly. But, what do they know about perfection, and what is perfect? Whose list of perfections are we using today? The rights, or the lefts? Or maybe its the independents today?
Getting back to the differences, if healthcare is such an immediate issue, if global warming is so severe, though tomorrow we are supposed to get 4 inches of snow, and more, um... if illegal immegration is so big, crime so outstanding,social security on the verge of collapse, why is it that the politicians are doing nothing at all about these problems today? Are they talking about it? Are they worried about it right now, TODAY? I haven't seen anything today. The war in Iraq, we are so mean and so bad to be there. We should have let Saddam and his boys still be in power. That would be the nicest thing I suppose. Our people are dying. I'm sorry, but isn't that what the military is for? Fighting wars? Soldiering, death, comes with the territory. Why do we always want to second guess what people should do, tell them how to live their lives? Scare people into thinking that the world's a second away from oblivion? But, if you do this and do that, life will be good. Eat more broccoli, drink wine, eat an apple, oh wait, not the apples again! If you plant some trees, you can keep up your carbon output. If we fight for the family, since the family is dying, it'll work out better for everyone. Ever been in a family? Sometimes families aren't all that great. Marriage is under assault, abortion, we have to regulate morality. You can try it, but people end up doing the wrong things anyway.
Then what shall we do? Do the best you can, and try to live your life the best way you know how. Know God, and work towards knowing Him better. That's the best you can do. And... enjoy today, we are all going to die tomorrow!!!!
